Huddersfield a Quick Guide: A historic and huge market town located in the English county of West Yorkshire, In the United Kingdom, Huddersfield is currently the UK's eleventh largest town (not including cities), having a population of somewhere near 168,000. The Huddersfield of Huddersfield has a proud tradition for sport and is the home and birthplace of Rugby League, which occurred at Huddersfield's George Hotel on August 29th 1895, when 22 clubs split from the Rugby Football Union in a row over payments to players. In the same year the Huddersfield Giants Rugby League team was established. Their football club Huddersfield Town AFC was founded soon after in 1908 and is at present in the Premier League (2017), Huddersfield Town were victorious in the FA Cup in 1922 (at Stamford Bridge) and were the first English club to win three successive league titles (1923-24, 1924-25 and 1925-26).
