Their soccer team Huddersfield Town AFC was founded a few years later in 1908 and is at present in the Premier League (2017), Huddersfield were the winners of the FA Cup in 1922 (beating Preston North End) and were the first English club to win three successive league titles (1923-24, 1924-25 and 1925-26).
