Review of Huddersfield: A historic and large market town located in the English county of West Yorkshire, United Kingdom, Huddersfield is at present the United Kingdom's eleventh largest town, housing a population in excess of 168,000. Huddersfield is placed roughly halfway between Manchester and Leeds being about 28 miles north-east of Manchester and 20 miles south-west of Leeds and it is some 190 miles driving distance from London.

The Huddersfield of Huddersfield has a proud tradition with regards to sport and is the birthplace of Rugby League, which came into being at the George Hotel on the 29th August 1895, when 22 clubs broke away from the RFU (Rugby Football Union). In that year the Huddersfield Giants Rugby League team was founded. Their soccer team Huddersfield Town AFC was founded 13 years later in 1908 and is at present in the Premier League (2017), Huddersfield Town were the winners of the FA Cup in 1922 (1-0 against Preston North End) and were the first English club to win 3 successive league titles in 1924,25 and 26).
