The same year the Huddersfield Giants Rugby League team was founded. Their football club Huddersfield Town AFC was founded soon after in 1908 and is presently in the Premier League (2017), Huddersfield Town were the winners of the FA Cup in 1922 and also won 3 successive league titles in the 1920's.
