Review of Huddersfield: A historic and huge market town located in the English county of West Yorkshire, UK, Huddersfield at the current time is the UK's 11th largest town, housing a population of about 168,000 (2017). The Huddersfield of Huddersfield has a long tradition of sporting excellence and is the home and birthplace of Rugby League, which took place at Huddersfield's George Hotel on August 29th 1895, when twenty two clubs broke away from the RFU (Rugby Football Union). In the same year the Huddersfield Giants Rugby League team was established. Their football team Huddersfield Town AFC was founded 13 years later in 1908 and currently holds a place in the Premier League (2017), Huddersfield were winners of the FA Cup in 1922 (1-0 against Preston North End) and also won three successive league titles (1923-26).
