Review of Huddersfield: A historic and huge market town located in the county of West Yorkshire, England, in the UK, Huddersfield today is the 11th largest town in the United Kingdom, boasting a population in excess of 168,000. Huddersfield is positioned midway between Manchester and Leeds being about 28 miles to the north-east of Manchester and 20 miles to the south-west of Leeds and it is approximately 191 miles drive from London.

Huddersfield has a proud tradition for sport and is where Rugby League was born, which occurred at the George Hotel on the 29th August 1895, when twenty two clubs split from the RFU (Rugby Football Union). In the same year the Huddersfield Giants Rugby League team was established. Their soccer club Huddersfield Town AFC was founded 13 years later in 1908 and currently holds a place in the Premier League (2017), they were victorious in the FA Cup in 1922 (at Stamford Bridge) and were the first English club to win 3 successive league titles in the 1920's.
