The same year the Huddersfield Giants Rugby League team was established. Their football club Huddersfield Town AFC was founded in 1908 and is at present in the Premier League (2017), they were the winners of the FA Cup in 1922 (at Stamford Bridge) and were the first English club to win 3 successive league titles in the 1920's.
